Cut the baked sponge cake twice horizontally. Spread the first cake layer with softened nougat, place the second cake layer on top, spread with a mixture of marzipan, apricot brandy, water and powdered sugar, place the third layer on top. Spread a thin layer of apricot jam on the surface and all around the edge, place apricot halves on top, cover with cake jelly prepared according to instructions. Sprinkle the edge of the cake with almond flakes.
